Track things your guests borrow or rent — whether free or paid — such as bikes, kayaks, umbrellas, beach toys, or sports equipment.

Using the Rentals activity type keeps everything organized and ensures rentals appear on the guest’s itinerary.

Step 1: Set up the activity

Go to 'Settings > Activities' or 'Activity & pricing' catalog and create a rental activity (e.g., “Kayak Rental,” “Bike Rental”).

This works whether the rentals are:

complimentary
charged
provided by your own property
provided by an external vendor

Step 2: For complimentary rentals, mark them Zero Price

Turn on Zero Price in the pricing matrix.

Guests will see it on their itinerary but won’t see a cost — perfect for free amenities.

Step 3: For paid rentals, set the correct price

Add the rental price in the pricing matrix.

The item will then:

appear on the itinerary with its cost
show properly on the Planns screen
allow you to bill the guest or mark the payment method

Step 4: Choose the correct Provider

If your property supplies the rentals, choose your internal Resource.

If a vendor supplies them, choose that vendor instead.

Example scenario

A guest asks for two bikes for the afternoon. In Planniac, you add a Bike Rental, set the quantity to 2, and choose your internal Resource “Resort Activities.”

If the rental is complimentary and Zero Price is ticked, it shows on the itinerary with no cost.
