Adjust how your rooms appear inside Planniac.

This area lets you adjust how your rooms appear inside Planniac. The actual room names come from Cloudbeds, so you can’t edit those here, but you can add helpful details that make life easier for your team and clearer for guests.

room nickname

If your Cloudbeds room names are long or confusing, you can add a shorter nickname. Nicknames show on guest itineraries and reports, so choose something your guests and staff will understand quickly.

Tip: aim for 12 characters or fewer so the names fit neatly.

tv app display name

If you use the Planniac in-room TV module, you can give each room a slightly longer TV display name (up to about 20 characters).

The display name must match exactly what’s assigned on the TV or streaming device.

beds

Cloudbeds doesn’t track bed counts, but many hotels need it for housekeeping, reports, or tax reporting. Use the dropdown to add the number of beds in each room.

If you provide extra beds, you can adjust that per reservation later in the guests tab.

evac map

You can store a room-specific evacuation map—upload a .jpg or .png file.

It’s mainly used in the TV module, but it’s also helpful to have stored in Planniac for quick reference.

property

If certain rooms belong to different legal properties or groups (for government reporting or owner units), you can label each room with its property name here.

hotel license

Each room should reflect the correct license number, since this appears on the guest registration form. Even if all rooms share the same license, enter it for each one.

tv ip

If the in-room TV module is enabled, each room needs an IP address for its device (Firestick, Chromecast, Google TV, or Fire TV).

The IP and the TV display name must match what’s on the physical device.

room wifi

Use this tab to show room-specific wifi details on the guest itinerary, including SSID, password, and encryption type.
