Settings > Roles

Enter the roles of the team members in your organization so you can assign permissions and tasks based on their responsibilities.

Planniac comes with some 'default' roles and also lets you create custom roles to suit your hotel.

You can also edit the permissions of any role by clicking the 'edit' button. When you edit a role, it will apply those permissions for any team member who has that role.

If you need to add more permissions to an individual team member's role, consider giving them more than one role. For example if you have someone who is both a Front Desk person and a Housekeeper, simply enable both roles for that person.

Use roles to give more experienced team members more permissions. Here's an example of how to think about roles:

  • Front Desk: Standard front desk user who can access planns, guest data and reports
  • Senior Front Desk: Advanced front desk user who also has permissions to edit the catalog (you'd have to create a role for this -- easy to do by duplicating the Front Desk role and then adding the additional permissions)
  • Front Desk Manager: You could create another role that allows all the Front Desk permissions plus permission to edit the Catalog and certain Settings pages.

You can't change Admin or Owner permissions. They can both access everything.
